One reply... a couple more to go

(Today's Barcelona sunset)

It's phenomenal, Valentines Airlines continues to grow at roughly 100 members/ day. This Wednesday the group has hit an all-time high of 1 324+ members. As the numbers continue to break previous records so the work continues on the airline companies.

Feedback has finally seen daylight as one of the six airliners has sent the couple a reply. Virgin has given Valentines Airlines thumbs down. Unfortunate but true.

It would be easy to mistake this fact for bad news but quite on the contrary the couple's hopes are higher than ever before. They realize that they managed to get their message to the people they hoped to reach. Having sent a proposal to almost every individual at the Richard Branson office a polite and friendly reply finally made its way to Tatjana's inbox this evening.

Energy continues to flow in the general direction of the airline companies as yet another sunset comes and goes on opposite sides of the globe. Group-members are ever hopefull and inspiring with their words of support and colleagues continue to invest optimism in their love-struck employees. This is bound to be an interesting week at Valentines Airlines on Facebook.

1 200 on a Tuesday night

Another sunset comes and goes around the world. James' in nature with crickets and the odd animal call for a soundtrack while Tatjana's is in an office with loud traffic in the streets down below. Both sunsets are breath-taking but faaaaaaaaaaaar apart.

For the first time it seems that reality has struck. James and Tatjana have woken up to the fact that their efforts may be met with only emptiness from the airliners. The possibility that they might not see each other for an even longer stretch of time weighs heavily upon them as their love-pangs intensify.

It is obvious with the agreement of an airline company will come more group members but at this stage all the couple have is empty hopes. The Valentines Airlines group on Facebook, in an attempt to recruit 10 000 members in exchange for a return ticket from Barcelona to South Africa is at 1 200+ members and the airline companies are taking their time in responding to the proposal.

The clock seems to tick louder and louder every second as the waiting continues. The leads for contact details are running dry and Valentines Day is approaching. If only someone would lend them a hand... offer them a lead, a number, an email address with a YES behind it.

Happy Monday in faraway lands

Having survived yet another long-distance weekend, the couple is off to an optimistic start as the sun shines over both Skukuza and Barcelona.

The Valentines Airlines Facebook proposal has finally been sent to the contacts that have been collected over the past few weeks and finally the ball is in the airlines' court. The couple waits in anticipation to see who will be the first airline to offer them the flight that will bring them together over the Valentines Period.

Virgin Atlantic have been the first to respond with words of support as they look into the matter but no deal has been made just yet.

Valentines Airlines is 992 members strong one and a half weeks into its existence. If each member recruits another ten this week, the numbers will exceed the expected 10 000 in no time and so the only variable in this quest will be which airline comes to the party first. It's an exciting week in the life of James and Tatjana and all at Valentines Airlines.

A Sunny Saturday on opposite sides of the world

The lack of internet in Tatjana's apartment and the void that replaces James' stolen computer have had a massive impact on their previously daily skype chats. What initially seemed to be hunger has turned into shivers and temporary memory-loss. In speaking to coworkers, relatives and house-mates on both ends of the globe it has become evident that their symptoms of missingness are worsening once again. It's obvious that weekends tend to be harder on the couple as they spend more time pondering the meaning of distance.

The Valentines Airlines Group on Facebook, in an attempt to attract enough attention to acquire a free return ticket from Barcelona to South Africa over the Valentines period appears to be what keeps James and Tatjana going in their distant lands. The group is 877 members strong today and growing. If each member recruits 11 more members the numbers will be strong enough for the airlines to offer a free flight.

As the same sun beats down on both James and Tatjana on separate continents, their minds are flooded with thoughts of distant lands, Richard Branson and Valentines Airlines...

a lunchbreak of missingness

The Valentines Airlines group on Facebook seems to have taken on a life of its own. The snowball's rolling and words of empathy, support and guidance are flying left, right and center. Thank you to all those who are playing a part in this effort.

The couple's fears are slowly diminishing along with the love-pangs as they watch this thing that appears to be a massive group of love-supporters, take on a form of its own and somehow bring them closer. Their leads for influential people seem to be solidifying bit by bit and the lovelings are optimistic that soon this organism will be what they envision it to be.

Plane-loads of energy have gone into finding contact details and pursuing Valentines Airlines Crew and it seems to be going a long way. The core of this aircraft lies not in the cockpit where James and Tatjana are seated but rather in the motor. If there's no motor, there's no flight and the couple can send proposals and requests but they cannot force supporters to join the group and more importantly they cannot force an airline company to hand them a free flight in order to bring them together again.

Fully aware of this predicament or worldly law, the couple separately continue to live their lives on opposite sides of the world with thoughts of each other occasional skipped heartbeats as they are constantly flooded with reminders of their distant one.

The Valentines Airlines Group, the effort at gaining 10 000 members who support causes of love in an attempt at a free return flight from Barcelona to South Africa is gaining momentum and as it does so does Tatjana and James' hope for being together for Valentines day. The group today is 696 people strong and growing. If you haven't joined yet, do it now and if you have.... tell all your friends to tell all their friends to tell all.... you know.

A video shot by Dre in the name of Valentines Airlines long distance love...

Hopeful, not naïve

It's almost been a week since the optimistic couple started this online journey. It's been a fascinating online adventure thus far. The couple have received bucket-loads of support from group members as the quest for crew continues. Odd comments from group members with interesting opinions have also made their way onto the VA Group's wall. Some Homo sapiens seem to be almost offended by the Valentines Airlines quest as they join the group and leave negativity on the wall. This couple can not be discouraged as they have more important things to ponder. Who's going to offer up a flight before Valentines Day?

Optimism has always been a strength in both James and Tatjana's youthful existence but naiveness abandoned them a long time ago. The possibility that the airlines won't bite has not been neglected but this is not the end of their hope to see each other in the near future.

The pining worsens as the second go by. Simultaneously their trust continues to solidify like aeroplane food that's left behind on the economy tray. The trust that somehow things will fall into place. Something will come right and they WILL see each other on Valentines Day.

Today Valentines Airlines has a hefty 465 crew-members and the numbers as the numbers continue to escalate.

Love Pangs in the chest

A close eye has been kept on the group that could save this couple's lives, Valentines Airlines. Of course the numbers are good but they could be better. On opposite sides of the world both Tatjana and James have shown symptoms of distress as their pangs of missingess intensify.

Throughout the day on opposite sides of the world both individuals (halves of a whole...) have suffered love pangs. What is a love pang you ask? Its an intense cramp that strikes its victim at 13h47 AM (local time) in the chest. It may cause the patient to stumble or faint. In Tatjana's case it caused a seriously ugly layout design (which was later rectified) and in James' case it caused sudden impact with a tree. These pangs can be deadly if not treated. Fortunately neither of the pair are surfers and so their chances of drowning are massively diminished but who knows what else might come from their suffering?

The Valentines Airlines Group is currently at 270 members... the pace is slow but it's Friday and clearly many potential group members are seeing to their own personal love-needs. The couple is understanding and is more optimistic than ever about the prospect of looking into each-other's eyes in February. They are incredibly grateful for the members who have joined their group already.

long distance call

A song for you

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=sKkkGjnt3-Q

Believe it 'cause it's true...

The second day has not yet come to an end and already the number has risen to 198 members on Valentines Airlines. The pining couple is fearful of the possibly-maybe. The numbers are rising but so is the great fear... Mathematics has never been their ambition but James and Tatjana both know that 100 members per day is not going to get them to 10 000. They need to quadruple the pace if they hope to achieve their goal.

They hope to achieve their goal...

At this stage the friends-of-friends-of-friends theory is keeping them calm in the hope that the Facebook members are inviting all of their friends who are inviting all of their friends who... you get what I'm saying.

The couple seems to be taking strain at this stage. Doctors have demonstrated concern as James has developed a growth of sorts on his back. On questioning one of the doctors revealed that the growth is undoubtedly rooted in the current lack of skype communication as James' computer has been stolen and Olli, the backup IT guy has left. There is only so much chamomile tea and rooibos one man can drink, and antibiotics don't serve as a love remedy. The Doctors are hopeful that Valentines Airlines might be a cure.

Co-workers have disclosed approval as Tatjana has taken to long hours in the office and seemingly invisibly lunch-breaks in an attempt to distract herself from the ever-present distance that looms over her tired head. But she is hopeful, nevertheless, in their search for the flight that will stop the aches and pains. Lets hope that the group multiplies itself from here. Join Valentines Airlines on Facebook and tell ALL your friends to tell all their friends to tell all thei...

Looooooong distance

Day One at Love Airlines

The awe-struck lovers have been watching the group on Facebook in anticipation as it has taken form at roughly ten people an hour. They're astounded by the effort that's gone into recruiting participants. The aches and pains that have become somewhat of a norm have momentarily come to a halt as the distance between them seems to shrink, slowly, but surely.

Today 95+ people joined Valentines Airlines and if everything goes according to the love-sick couple's hopes and dreams, each member will send invites to all of his/ her friends and so the chain will grow.

A hiccup has appeared as the contact details for the relevant airlines have become somewhat of a struggle to acquire but the couple is hopeful in their search. Please feel free to send them any information you might have to help them to get in touch with the Marketing Directors of Virgin Atlantic, KLM, Iberia, Swiss Air, Lufthansa or Air France.

Thank you for watching this space and more so, thank you for recruiting cabin crew members on Valentines Airlines. Keep the flame alive... in the name of love.

Valentines Airlines, flights in the name of love...

Separated by a mere continent, the lovers have finally run out of remedies for their love-sickness. Initially the text messages were comforting... the odd phone call (ten words under the tongue twice a week) seemed to relieve some of the aches and pains. Hell, even Skype worked as a temporary fix but with time their condition has worsened and it has become evident that physical contact is the only cure.

In an attempt to save themselves from this inevitable fate of death-by-distance in their financial drought, Tatjana and James have started a group on Facebook called "Valentines Airlines", a flight in the name of love. A proposal has been sent to the Marketing Directors of KLM, Iberia, Air France, Swiss Air, Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic stating that the couple is attempting to attain more than 10 000 "Valentines Airlines" group members within the next two weeks. If the numbers are attained it is between the airlines to decide who gains publicity on the site in exchange for a return ticket from Barcelona to South Africa over the Valentines period.

This blog will be updated daily with the growing number of group members in the "Valentines Airlines" group on Facebook and additional updates on what state the love-sick couple is in.

Help James and Tatjana to share their love on Valentines Day. Join this worthy cause in the name of love. Join "Valentines Airlines" on Facebook now and you could save their hearts from complete deterioration.
